Andrea Cambiaso

Yep yet another feeder club
We've enough feeder clubs within CFG. This is different. We're buying quality additions at a decent price from a club, & essentially buying them a replacement who we own, as part of the deal.

In the initial stages, our investment is higher, but in the long-run we can potentially have another star players to add to our squad, get our investment back, or sell on netting a tidy profit.

The selling club can either invest their transfer funds in other areas, or build up a sizeable kitty for the future. Either way, Lens have got the money they wanted for Khusanov, & another highly rated replacement as part of the bargain.

It's a subtle, but crucial variation on what we've been doing previously, & may just unlock several similar deals which mutually benefit City & the selling clubs. It's a business masterstroke.

Reports more in the region of €65m maybe we get him for €55m for a player of his skill intelligence plays in multiple positions is fair fee!
Is he predominantly a right back? I've heard he can play both sides and push further forward but does he have the composure and ability on the ball to play in the middle?

Why is everyone bothered by the price tag? It's not our money and it guarantees us a fullback whos technical and can play multiple positions and Pep wants him

It's not a popularity contest to boast we only spend so and so.
PSR rules. But is that not obvious? The cheaper we can get players, the more we have to spend on other players. Other maybe more important players.

You only have to look at the filth to see the folly of overpaying.

Yeah it would be great if we can get him cheaper but we are paying for an Italian international player who is young, on a 4 year contract already and can play in multiple positions.

I don't think we should be worried about PSR since we earn a fortune and hardly spent it past 2 years.

Paying money doesn't seem to have bothered the rags or Chelsea so let's spend

Totally agree. This is definately not same city group feeder /flog on land but fundamentally the same in essence. Lens progressing a player who they then feed to us to play

There's a difference between overpaying because you are panic buying ie the rags & overpaying for a player who would be Kyle's long term replacement. I haven't seen enough of Cambiaso to know what he's worth & seeing as we've not even put a bid in yet, I won't be worrying about how much the clickbait brigade think we'll be paying.

The filth have an owner/owners that are shoveling profit out of the back door if they would have been more fluid the rules wouldn't have applied to them anyway.

They told PSR to fuck off this season by being many many millions over on the calculation used, then the magic accountant came and made all the nasty numbers go away.

The fact Bah is willing to pay his own €6m buy out clause fee to facilitate the move also speaks volumes about the player.

This is an excellent deal all round for Bah, Lens & City in the long-term. We seriously keep setting new business standards in football.

Funnily enough, these types of deal structures probably wouldn't have emerged if not for the FFP/PSR that UEFA & the PL brought in to strangle City at birth. We needed to get creative to overcome their blatant plan to stop us. It's failed miserably!

Mainly a left back recently but played plenty of games at right back and some in midfield. 2 footed

Not sure if good enough to play DM if that's your question…
