Correction. We were a very run club. We have self imploded over the last 18 months. Talk about shooting ourselves in the foot

Why do we want more defenders who can't defend?

I'd rather all our budget went to get a few central midfielders who can keep and protect the ball.

Just throw the new defenders in to defend out wide.

Problem with central defence is that Stones and Ake are very injury prone as well as getting on in years, so Pep needed to look at this area too. Cambiaso is apparently very versatile in the roles he can play which may help to solve part of the problem, but who knows??

Been indecisive at GK with no clear No. 1
Walker should have gone in the summer
Walker should never have been club captain
Stones is made of glass, should have gone last summer
No left back for 6/7 years
No back up DM

KDB compromised from his pomp

We were ran so well up to summer 2023, for the previous 10 years. What has happened since is nothing short of self harm!!!

You mention the last bad season, we finished
2nd by the way. Thats a bad season in context. This doesnt even compare and is a debacle!! We have not been well run for 18 months at least

Can’t buy into that pal. Have some faith. Remember the meltdown over the CB situation before Dias. Same with the striker before Haaland.
I also remember all those years of being genuinely shit. Happy days away at Shrewsbury and Walsall but I don’t see us imploding as you suggest.

is any club actually ran well in the premier league if city aren't a well run club

Right, don’t worry we’ll be fine. Unless you think those that created everything up until now have been abducted and replaced by idiots. I don’t and I’m looking forward to the next stage.As for this season relax it will be what it is, it happens.

I don't disagree we have issues at CB, but it wasn't the most critical imo,

1, DM
2, RB,
3, Second striker
4, LB (As Gvardiol could play CB)
5, CB


So we have prioritised the least critical issue. Bizarre strategy

I really like Ake at LB

I’d say the 2 most urgent were/are both in midfield. DM and CM.

Sometimes a strategy is seen as “bizarre” because the viewer doesn’t understand either strategy or the process that created it.

One man’s “least critical” might be another man’s critical…?!

Apart from winning the league and an FA Cup Final.

The latter we messed up. How many teams have had the chance to mess up a cup final after winning the league? Or for a better perspective, mess up an FA Cup Final. Or an even better perspective, any cup final?

You’re right we’ve got a lot wrong but everyone does. We’ve got things wrong before since we’ve been successful. What’s been the result?
