Andrea Cambiaso

Yep. That wasn’t my point though - it was that Pep was happy to play him out of position then, so why not play him out of position in a different role?

Hope that helps mate.
Why? Because we wont be facing League 2 opposition anymore this season and against tougher opponents it will actually matter how good player can handle the role they have been given.

I'm not saying I think Nico would be awful at DM, I'm just saying that just because someone plays out of position against League 2 opposition it doesn't mean he can or should do it in a game when there is a risk we could lose.

Hope that helps mate.

Would make sense if Nunes hadn’t been played RB the last few games. Whopper

Disagree. Liverpool finished 5th/3rd (granted were not at the end of the season yet) bought 3 starters and they are where they are…

We have issues at GK, RB, LB, CB, DM, AM and a load of wingers that don't score. We’re in much worse shape than they were imo!! But many wont admit it

Liverpool are about to have major issues due to FSG not wanting to pay certain contracts. Konate the next one who’s wanted by PSG with his contract running out in 2026.

Your response implies I just wrote that players cant play out of position, which I didn't. I said that just because a player plays out of position against League 2 opposition it doesn't necessarily mean they can or should do it against better opponents. And again, I'm not saying we absolutely shouldn't try Nico as a DM, even if I doubt he could handle that role (at this age at least). I'm just saying that justifying it by saying "he played out of position against Salford" makes no sense. Your other argument about pace/size/mobility I can understand.

Not sure that's true, thin they did a bit more than just buy 3 starters

You could argue they bought 4 as you'd include Gakpo in that list who was a Jan signing, a player they had to buy because Dias and Nunes hadn't properly replaced Mane or Firmino

Also understated the signing of Endo who was important for them last year and Ramsey who's potentially gonna be the new Trent Arnold... and as noted they haven't preflered THAT well where they are losing the best player in the world and the most creative right back both on FREES

Thats nothing to do with the original point. But yes they could

liverpool are benefiting from a new manager with different tactics gravenberch wasn't even a starter for klopp because he didn't suit his style i'd argue the only real stand out performer is mac alister

Window hasn’t closed and we’ve signed players. Who knows how they will settle or how many more will come in or if Rodri comes back at his level. My thoughts are that the club is on a strong platform to re-build from - from Pep extending, Haaland extending and the club structure and investment.

The whole debate has come from a statement you made about us having ‘literally got nothing right since the treble’. That’s not true is it? Not even about feelings, just factually untrue.

We don’t. We might need a keeper in the summer if we get Cambiaso, fullback done, centre backs done. In the summer an AM and a CM .

Are transfer activity is panic buying because people have failed to there jobs. All three may turn out to be excellent players, or not. Its doesn't change we spent £160 million on some average players.
