He was certainly good enough today.

Gvardiol’s performances at LWB makes me wonder if we actually need this fella. I feel like Gvardiol’s abilities would be somewhat wasted as a CB. I know Cambiaso has played a bit on the right, but he looks better at LB to me. Although he’s ambipedal, he tends to use his left foot almost exclusively. I hope he wouldn’t stop Gvardiol from playing LWB, and £50m+ sounds very expensive for a backup LB as we might need 2-3 midfielders, a GK and maybe even a RB by the start of next season

Not sure we need a LB with Gvardiol and Ake both very good there.

Yeah he would be RB stepping in mate, he can do both and we currently have a midfielder doing it? Get Cambiaso and a midfielder and we can still push for a trophy this season imo

Delph was a very underrated footballer who was an intelligent footballer and also very tough.Nunes becoming the new Delph?
I thought Nunes was decent at best yesterday but wimped out of a couple of tackles and on more than a few occasions he made the wrong choice with the ball.
The latter can hopefully coached, however the former is unforgivable and I’m afraid is part of his make up.
He’s possible the best option we have at the moment but will never be anywhere good enough.
