Andreas Brehme dead at only 63 years

1990 WC legend Andreas Brehme has died aged 63.

I can remember how much I celebrated his penalty in the final of the 1990 WC in front of my parents TV. Absolute legend in Germany and a class player.

I don't really think he had a weak foot. He scored a penalty against Mexico in 86 with his left foot and scored the penalty in the 90s final with his right foot.

That's what I've heard I think. When I say "weaker", I know he probably didn't have a weaker foot, sounds better to say one was more dominant.

very sad news - another great player I recall from my youth and watching world cup before it becam a circus .... a very strong player, skillfull, both feet and a clever player...he had it all...I would say one of the greatest left backs of all time - defo top 3.

He was named player of the year in Italy in 1989 when Serie A was the best league in the world. Should tell you everything you need to know about the kind of player he was. :-)
