Home or work, well mostly home these days.
I didn't know that Bordeaux had gone bankrupt, and are now at the 4th level in France after a double relegation (mentioned in another thread, so I did some research), and who pops up playing for them but Andy Caroll, he scored 2 in a game recently, helping the m come back from 0-2 down against Châteaubriant (yes I had to look where it was too).

I read recently he plays for free there

I’m sure I had a lovely bottle of Châteaubriant once

I'm sure he's not short of money, and it's a nice part of the world to live in, perhaps he's doubling up grape picking.

It's quite amusing, looking at some of the grounds Bordeaux are playing at, basically park "stadiums" with a fence round the pitch and little or no stands. Their home support still looks pretty good, and away must be quite tricky for the teams they're playing against.

Sounds like a steak dinner

If I remember right he said it actually costs him money to play there. Fair play, as you say he won't be short but in that interview he enjoyed being able to walk about and nobody knowing him
