I read this last year, it was supposed to be my holiday read but I finished it in 2 days flat.
It underlines just how little we fans knew at the time as to what was going on in his life. I'm really pleased he has come out of the other side of so many problems and seems to be ok now.
I remember at a time when many of the things he describes must have been 'going on' , I saw him at a bar in central Manchester and tapped him on the shoulder saying "are you Andy Morrison?" I'm pleased to report I still have all my own teeth!
He was actually very friendly after I explained I was just a fan and wondered how his knee was. He still had hopes of getting back to full fitness at the time but sadly it never really happened.
He was bought at a time when money available and our low status limited who we could bring into the club but I think he was a very accomplished player. I think a fit Andy Morrison could have stepped up in quality every time it was required and would not have been out of place in the upper reaches of the Prem.
I'm really pleased the club have found a slot for him, one of the fans favourites for sure.
