Saw the thread title and assumed it was about his Lennon interview. That’s the only thing I’d be interested listening to him talk about really.

Recall him reporting on Lancashire games, but rarely City as Stuart Hall had that gig sewn up, and being a champion of soul music on Radio One, but in terms of City, no sure he really had much to say in terms of insight.

Interesting the juxtaposition of Colin Bell and Stan Gibson when comparing the 70s with the modern era, as I think they would both thrive in the modern game.

The pitches at Maine Road, under Stan’s charge, relatively speaking, were incredible. He was clearly an incredibly gifted groundsman and someone who would excel in the job today, with all the advances that have taken place in the last 40-odd years.

Buchan was a **** and never phone bell or show any remorse ? Andy how close were both clubs back then,
they hated us big time and like Mike Doyle never back down to them or take shit from them, they wanted to beat us up just as much as we wanted to beat them,

Colin said he wasn't sure whether the tackle was accidental on not but when Buchan failed to contact or visit him in hospital he had doubts it was accidental. Too ashamed to face him me thinks.
