I thought Angelino gave an impressive cameo in the second half all be it against a very shit Watford. The lad earned rave reviews for PSV in the Champions league, give him a chance to either sink or swim.

Think he really has potential for us against deep set defenses. He’s incredibly dynamic. Really could have used him today, I think.
One other slight problem in that area is that I’m not sure sterling really uses overlapping fullbacks particularly well because he’s so used to being the one holding the width. May need to work on that.

Why buy him when the manager doesn't trust him ?

Shouldn't be a problem to Sterling on the left as he rarely attacks the fullback and nearly always cuts inside. Do if anything he should be crying out for a fullback to go on his outside.

I had hoped it was because we had seen his improvement and we thought he could do a job for us. Given that he cant get on the pitch, makes me now wonder if it was a purely financial decision. We saw an opportunity to pick up a player for much less than his true value. He could quite easily be gone next summer for a profit.
