Angelino

Funny how putting in a stinker reduces valuation and performing excellently in Bundesliga and getting into the UCL team of the season increases valuation. Can't believe people change opinions based on reality. Magic innit?

Players do not go from amazing to rubbish to amazing again the space of a season. The truth is probably was not as good as people thought when he was in the Netherlands not as bad as people thought when he was here and probably not as good as people think he is now after his time in Germany

According to Sky Sports Leipszig will only be able to buy him if he plays 12 matches for them with 7 in the second half of the season. Hmmmmm...

£18m for George Daws, good stuff.

"Baked Potato changed my life, Baked Potato showed me the waaaay"

I guess he was always going to be a guy that wouldn’t stay here long. When we bought him for the price we did, it was a clear case of spotting an opportunity for very easy profit towards FFP. He was rated at around 20-25m at the time being linked to PSG. So it was guaranteed profit.

Since that moment Angelino has had a very successful loan and made it into the Champions League Squad of the Season. His stock has risen. So to do a deal for 2m euros upfront and the possibility, but not guarantee, of receiving another 18m euros seems on the low side.

So that’s the issue. We should make a nice accounting profit on him, which was always the plan, but bearing in mind his rave reviews, it should have been a larger one. That’s why it’s a deal that’s being derided by many.

I wanted him to stay over Zinchenko and did not see any problems with his performances when he was here though he did not play much but suspect the deal is not as bad as is made out. We will get a loan fee plus the fee for buying him and probably bonuses and sell on % and perhaps even first refusal or at least good relationship with RB and they are good at producing or at least buying and selling on young players

Don’t forget no one else wanted him we wanted to sell him or at least pep did and Corona virus is reducing fees and number of transfers

Maybe we needed him off the books and there was no one else in for him.

Not a lot City can do about that.

Why the fuck did we buy Angelino in the first place when there are leftbacks like Telles, Reguillon, Tagliafico. Unbelieveable. When will Pep stop making mistakes buying defenders? He gets like haft of his targets right. So sick of this bad business.

Get rid of Stones, Otamendi, Zinchenko and Angelino, keep Garcia, buy Koulibaly and get a proper fucking leftback in. How hard can it be?!

amazing

Pep’s shambles when it comes to identify and buy good defenders, that’s amazing considering the money he spent.

Aké, Laporte, Cancelo and Walker spot on, the rest have been dogshit.
Mendy, Zinchenko, Angelino and Stones. That’s about 120-140m worth of defenders that are absolutely hopeless.

The 50% successrate is not far away.

Loan. A fucking loan. If they want him then they should be paying for him. They had a 6 month ‘try before you buy period’ - it wouldn’t surprise me if he was back here in 12 months!

Kicker say they HAVE the option to buy but MUST buy if he is involved in a certain number of matches - obligation.

I think it was just a riskless trade and we seem to make some profit.
That's ok.
