It's going to be so amazing when we buy him back for €40m then do three straight loan deals again.
I honestly don't believe you're replying to a Blue there bud.how hard can it be
such as a bizzare and a poor deal for city.
any one else would have sold the Champions league semi- finalist , who was in the CL squad of the season for at least 30m+
Pathetic really
Loose obligation?
He played 18 of 19 Leipzig matches since February
and you think he won't be involved in 12 of at least 42 matches now?
It's most probable.
Leipzig are just pushing the cashflow into next year due Covid while we are the bank.
Btw, why are so many comparing apples to oranges? We are in a pandemic, many clubs are in severe financial problems and they don't know for how long, even Leipzig. Don't compare covid to non-covid market conditions when judging City's selling qualities (as a non selling club mind!) if you are adults.
The clause for X amount of games is a load of bollocks, he is gone.
40m for Solanke and Ibe is mental but we don't have the world media convincing the rest of the league that they were top talents. Bournemouth are fucking shocking with buying players also.
Hazard was a world class player and Real were desperate, Chelsea named a price. Sane is off the back of an ACL and has been good for about 18mths since we signed him.
Oscar, went to China on a ridiculous deal. Not much more to say.
Matic, Mourinho loves him and Chelsea wanted to fuck him over just to prove a point.
Morata, Simeone loves him and had money to burn.
We have never been in a position where we have people who want our players because quite simply we don't sell any of the ones that are any good and the younger ones aren't touted across the media as being the best ever. The dippers did such a good job with Ibe that even their own fans believed he was better than Sterling.
By all accounts there is nothing going on with Koulibaly, we haven't even made an offer. We are just playing games with ADL.
If he gets injured he gets injured. RB are clearly the only team who wants him, and if this was such a non negotiable for them does Txiki sit there and take Angelino back and whack him in the reserves? It's not bollocks, it's in there for a reason. What if he gets injured? Or if he has a bad spell of form? Do you think any other top club would allow a clause where a player has to play X number of games in 2 separate halves of the season? That's such an easy out. It's not to circumvent FFP or to put it on next years books, because the obligation to buy means it's next years transfer anyway. It makes us look weak. What's to stop the next Brahim type deal from being a loan with mininum number of games?
Our football speaks for itself, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't demand more when it comes to negotiating. There are reasons why clubs sell players for X amount of money, but fact is we're just not good enough when it comes to dealing.
If there's nothing going on with Koulibaly, who are our CB targets? Are we not going to replace Kompany for another year?
Leipzig was very clever on this deal.If he turns out impressing again in their side they get him much lower than the 25m pounds which was in his recent loan deal as option. And 1.5 year they have him on loan too in all and he is still only 24 next summer.
If he flops, they wont even play him later on and send him back to us next summer.
He is a better LB than Zinchenko, while Mendy is a conundrum. Can imagine Pep opting for Ake/Cancelo in LB spot more often after a few silly games from Zinch and Mendy again.
