Angelino

A bit odd this.

He's a good kid, has good potential as an attacking left sided midfielder, not necessarily a FB, but he's not a 25 mil player in way shape or form yet.

Just not good enough I’m afraid. His homegrown status and the guaranteed profit were the only reasons we brought him back. It was zero risk and made sense. It also Makes sense to loan him out if he’s going to get games, maybe he improves enough to get another shot but if not he’s in the shop window and we make good money on him in the summer.

he’s not getting games here, he’s not going to play in the big games even if mendy and zinchenko are injured and with the league gone there’s no real need to keep him as cover. Good luck to him and hope he does well.

If they are hurt (or Mendy is and we needed Zinky in MF somewhere -- yipes), who plays LB? Or do we go 3 at the back?

Wishful thinking but maybe we're building good relations with Leipzig so we can get front row tickets when every top club and their fucking dog will be in for Werner and Upamecano in the summer given their short contracts

In the league it simply doesn’t matter, Pep will make do, mendy zinchenko and cancelo are seemingly all ahead of him right now and if all 3 of those were unavailable for a cup game he still wouldn’t be trusted to start and Pep would come up with something else.

We can’t keep a guy who’s basically 4th choice on the off chance all 3 ahead of him are injured for the few remaining games that mean anything this season. we went into the season with as many cb options as left back options someone was always going to be shown the door the question was simply who.

This seems really out of the blue. He wasn't a world beater but he honestly didn't play that badly for us and his crossing was usually pretty dangerous.
Thought he did quite well after a poor start to the season. If it’s true that if he does well and RB want to buy him, £25 million would be great business

I think he is potentially a starting LB to one of the CL big boys, so I'm not surprised at all that he's not sticking around to stagnate. Pep clearly doesn't like him for whatever reasons but he's a very good player in the right team.

While it’s disappointing that the move hasn’t worked out, the club may see it as a very good move for FFP. I think we paid around £11m for him so if he’s sold for £25m that’s a tidy profit and allows for more spending in the summer.
We paid 5.3m for him as part of our first option on him. Good for all parties but I doubt he will be sold for 25m, suspect we should get around 10m which is still good business.

Angelino had two big chances to impress against Liverpool away and Man U at home. Bit strange that Pep trusted him in precisely those 2 games, thought Cancelo was the better option.

Goodl uck to him!
