Well this is clear with angelino going to RB..... ladies and gentlemen our new summer central defender will be Dayot Upamecano. Partner laporte. Both French. And most important listening to Peps recent press conferences is that he want pace at the back...

Because he is not good enough! there is no point keeping player who is not up to it, regardless of options. Shit is shit. Unfortunately. We will play Cancelo there in emergency.
 
When I heard this I hoped we were releasing a foreign player to bring in a quality CB immediately and we'd kept it under wraps.

You're right that the 8-0 pumped up his number, but I took that game out and recalculated and he still has a 0.30 xA per 90 mins for the other 376 mins he played, which is only just below TAA's 0.33. Still a very small sample size, but if we were as efficient at sticking the ball in the net as Liverpool, he and Cancelo might be viewed a little more positively.
 
Not a problem, hopefully we can make near double.

The United league game sealed his fate but I hope he has a good career, and I'm glad one of our youngsters got a second chance.

No, it was a no lose, he would either kick on with us or sell him at a big profit. Or alternatively we always intended to flip him for a £20 mill profit. Good deal either way.

WtF by what calculation? Nolito? Sandier? Mendy? Angelino? Cancelo? We bought some average and poor players who can’t cement a place and we have struggled at times to land targets. Our best players arguably remain those signed pre-Pep
 
As a wingback in a 343 his crossing was really deadly. Disappointed in this as Mendy is the only choice wide left.

It does not suit Sterling and Zinchenko to play this role.

Nolito did well till his red card then he wasn't trusted,we got our money back and the daughter some vit d
Mendy got injured,that's nothing to do with scouting or signing
Cancelo has just got here,by that logic bernie,sane and mahrez would have been labelled flops whilst they settled
