Hanging my tea towel up for good. R.I.P GSC
Just glanced over at the telly and caught the ginge's header, i dodged motd, and all replays since getting in from the game. With the amount of encouragement they are getting, behind the goal they are attacking at the end of the game, why can't they be fucked off somewhere else? I know this topic has been done to death, it's just that i believe it has been mentioned to the club before, but i haven't seen any official replies, what's the official stance on this?

cheers..

I was thinking the exact same thing myself mate, I know people say its bacause the coach park is at the away end and the fencing etc, but surley they could move the fencing and paths a bit, and either put the away fans either along the top of the south stand or up in the corner of level 3 of the east stand.

The top tier of the east stand would be best but this would obviously leave one of the circular walkway out of bounds for blues.

I'm sure ive herd that the club are looking into this!

When the extension is built they should be put in a corner like this, but the other side like Hambury i think and kinds like spurs.

Gas I was just about to put up the same Question. I cant understand why we have them there. We should have that end like our own Kop and shove the away fans in a corner. when you see a city game on tv it looks like half the stadium is empty because of the gap on each side. We are the season ticket holders the stadium should suit us not them.

As we have unfortunately experienced on more than one occasion there is a very fine line between success and failure.

We need to look at all the aspects that may affect even in the slightest way our opposition.

If this means that having away fans behind the goal can lift them in any way then it needs to be addressed, certainly if we get a penalty that end it could be viewed as potentially off putting to our player having away support carrying on.

Seriously we should leave no stone unturned to achieve success.

keep them out of the cameras view altogether just like they do in the swamp....What are we playing at

Its is annoying to see away fan behind the goals especially when they score. I am sure the club are tired of hearing this from the fans, so do something about it!!

to be honest it was tried at the wigan game to have our fanshave all the bottom tier of the south stand and in my opinion it didn't make any difference to the atmoshphere at all,

The club have said, due to location of the away buses and other security measures, its unlikely this is going to happen

This thread isn't about the atmosphere it's about the other team getting boosted by seeing the away fans urging them on

away fans sit behind many teams goals and i don't hear of any of there fans moaning?! as long as we out chat them who gives a fuck where they sit, do you think a player thinks..

"well our fans sit at the other side of the ground so i won't score in this half coz they won't see it, i'll leave it till i'm facing them"???

when there playing they don't even see past the netting to see what fans are behind them coz there just in the "zone"

we have been told on a number of occastions they wont be moved coz there easier to contain there and it's easy to shepard them to the busses etc.. nowt will be done, so get over it ans save your energy to support city.

such a move would see too much congestion for city fans in the scond tier trying to get in/out of the spirals as only one not the current two would be available if you designate one an away fan spiral

my idea would be to make the majority of the south stand a city end and put the away fans in corner between colin bell in blocks 118,119,120 in the first tier and 218, 219, 220 in the second
