Rich man with two properties, one abroad, lectures young man saddled with mountains of debt by his generation and living in a rented accomodation, about it now being slightly more expensive and inconvenient about living out dream retirement destination.

I'm writing the screenplay already, it'll be a real tearjerker ;)

This forum needs a double like button.

I dont hear many young kids on part time contracts, living at home until their 30's crying about it being slightly more difficult to retire to the Dordogne or Tuscany. Nor do they seem too upset about the perceived injustice of the right to upsticks and move to a gated community in Spain.

I do hear them crying about their job being downsized to part time because their has been an influx of cheap unskilled labour for 20 years+ though.

That's why many of them voted leave whilst their bosses bosses largely voted remain.

But yeah, brexit is only for right wingers. Course it is...

Ha, from the guy "saddled with mountains of debt" by other people.
Wow, ignorant much!

You know the whole financial disaster that had saddled every young person in the 2010's with debt? Yeah, i'm part of that generation, not yours.

It's just a meme, bruh. No piss taking of Greta from me. You see that's how memes work, boomer.

I don't know why you hate people from Gorton so much to keep mentioning them when I don't even live there; a nasty past experience, perhaps? But you're just doing what you always do.

Oooh the 31st January cannot come soon enough. :)
So posting a picture of an upset and angry teenager is not taking the piss because it's a meme? Ok, if you say so.....bruh.

Rather poor non sequitur about people from Gorton I have to say.

Is it your 16th birthday on 31st January? Hopefully you'll grow up a bit and realise it's ok to admit you're wrong sometimes. You might get a bit more respect.

If it was me I’d be over there, in my property, filling out the form that granted me residency. Perhaps Brexit took him by surprise.

"You want to fuck off, fuck off" Basically.

You can migrate to anywhere in the world. Why all the whinging about the EU.

This is becoming hilarious. People getting analytical about a basic "you want to go, then go" response.
Youve said it again!

Bizarre, how utterly bizarre. Why are you continuing to say something which is completely wrong? You CANNOT emigrate anywhere in the world. Pre-Brexit, you COULD emigrate anywhere in the EU, now you cannot.

So why do you keep saying that people are free to emigrate anywhere when they are not? Why???

Let me ask you this, do you disagree with this statement:

"People are free to try to emigrate to any other country, and their application for residence in that country may OR MAY NOT be successful. And if it is not, then they are not free to emigrate to that country."

Don’t know about France but in Spain you’ll have to have a certain amount in bank to get a residencia if you’re not on a Spanish work contract.
Seeing as many aren’t rich and don’t have two homes but just rely on their pensions to live on, it will be a huge problem for them.

so you criticise him for posting an angry teenager

then you accuse him of being an angry teenager.

are you for or against teenagers. Am confused,

Yeah but if you point that out to remainers they just call you racist because they want to avoid the reality that we're not blaming migrants for the problem, we're blaming the system which allows the exploitation of (mostly young and in need of money) workers.

So when you've got boomers telling millennials "I can't retire to Europe anymore!" I can respond by saying "I can't retire.."

Yes you can.

Although over 70% under 25 did vote to remain, but why spoil a good story.

Overall maybe. But as we have just seen in the GE, whole swathes of the country were so keen to leave they voted for Tories, in some places for the first time in history.

People want out. That hasn't and won't change.
Accept it. You lost, democracy won.

You can always plan a rejoin campaign. See where that gets you.

just to calm their lofty ambitions large parts of the med would collapse without brits spending their retirement money in Spain and Portugal. They will be welcome.
House building in the area I go to regularly is booming, Brits are major buyers, of course they're welcome.
If you arrive without a pot to piss in and expect residency, maybe not so, just like anywhere, really.

Explain.

I'm in my 30s, but had good qualifications, have a good job and a good salary i've worked hard for. I know earnings are typically lower for millennials, but I've not experienced, nor know anyone who is saddled with debt.

The ignorance is baffling.

We are being underpaid thanks to the mistakes made by older generations, so we're finding ourselves in debt to pay for the things we need just to live. Get it now? Where have you been for the past decade?

It's more likely you're underpaid because you've got a shit job rather than it being anyone's fault.

Although judging by the amount of time you spend on here, you're probably overpaid for what you do.

Evidently doing better than you.

Yep, remind me again why i'm supposed to care about your situation when you clearly don't care about mine.

Wealth snobbery. Ironically you're probably one of those in your own social circles talking about "the poor" and "how the minimum wage should be £10 an hour"

Ahhh, you poke around long enough and that veil of self-righteousness is soon lifted, eh.
