I think a few people are now realising the current agreement is better than any other eventuality from here on in. Hopefully the wider public now realise this too.
To be clear, "current agreement" means current status within the EU....

I'm not so sure. Much of the north voted Tory (unless you are in a northern city) and much of the north voted for Brexit.

My constituency for example (South Ribble) voted 59% to leave and the Tory MP gained 53% of the vote.

Why would any Brexit supporter in Lancashire vote Labour if they go wholeheartedly for remain? It is a huge risk for Labour.

This is the perspective you need (if you can see it) - all seat shown as a single dot in rough geographical pattern. There is a lot of red in the north of england - I don't think tories will win a lot of this where as they stand to lose a lot of blue in scotland, wales and the south. Labour have a load of red in london, - they will lose a lot of this to lib dems / remain alliance.

No, he was claiming falsely that "no deal" was part of the leave campaign. You seemed to be claiming he was claiming something different.

Now you've constructed a ridiculous, barely grammatical falsehood that the g,overnment position is that the will of the people is something they made up after the referendum. And then say there is no ambiguity! You are a card.
I may be a card

But I am absolutely correct

There is no formal and clear mandate other than to Leave the EU - you cannot disagree with that and not be lying can you

Forget No-Deal or May's deal etc......

So one step at a time - and no prevaricating.....!!!!!

So start there - do you agree????????

Because if you cannot accept that simple fact - to use your words - you are simply and very obviously lying

Unfortunately the wider public has barely changed its mind at all since 2016

Just listened to Leo Varadka saying that in the event of a no deal they would have to then start negotiations and discuss things like the settlement . You couldn't make stuff up like this. Surely better to discuss now Leo? In the event of a no deal there will be no settlement money! Talk about arrogance or is it stupidity. What a pillock.

I can see Ireland going in to a major recession.

In the event of a no deal, I am pretty certain the UK government would reduce corporation tax to the same level as the ROI. Even May the remainer mentioned this three years ago. That and tariffs, if they were brought in, considering the amount of trade that goes through UK ports would completely knacker their economy. It wouldn't be great for us either in the short term. That's why this bluffing game has suddenly started. Pretty sure a new deal will be reached before the end of Oct. Politicians eh? Pretty pathetic bunch.

Its still the wrong number.
So lets try:

" We send the EU £130m every week
in return the UK economy benefits by an estimated £78bn per year
That pays for 75% of the health service"

Still not wholly truthful but a damn sight more accurate than what you are attempting to defend.
Now that is proper mis-leading

And his solution for the border in the event of a no deal is?

If we do leave and then apply to rejoin. The terms will be worse than what we have now. Adoption of the Euro, full integration etc.

My whole position now is we should minimise making our position worse.
If we are going to remain then crack on with full integration

Thinking it is not inevitable is just denial

You know we've elected to leave, not the other way round, don't you?

It was all going to be so fucking easy.

BS - there is zero pressure to join the euro or adopt other EU structures. Our membership on current terms, inclusive of veto and opt outs, is far greater than pushing anything that would force us to leave. There would be no issue at all if we revoked A50 and just stayed as we are. None.
None today

We would be fucked in years to come

Remainers are simply in denial
