Yet you made one yourself about leave voters only.
NB: my post wasn't exactly "flattering" about leave arguments now, was it.
And you could have, but chose not to.
God I miss football!

Some of the main protagonists in this thread are seemingly not that arsed about football, given the infrequency with which they comment on it. They’re just here for a political row.
Feels like it!
Maybe we’ll all calm down soon
Fuck noWhat we need is a match day thread for a return to a semblance of sanity and civility;-)

I pine for the days when the transfer and matchday threads were the biggest bane of my life on here.Or maybe the Transfer forum.

I think interest will be on a par with the usual overseas friendlies / mini tournaments we play in June/July every year. The sad thing about this thread/sub-forum is that we should all be able to disagree, but all being blues should be an unbreakable bond. As it is that seems lost by some to the politics.Politics is the only place where things are happening real time. The acid test will be if football comes back behind closed doors. Will we all give that much of a shit in those threads until the end of the season? Particularly when its just being done in reality to artificially gift the dippers the title.
I think traffic on the matchday forum could well be down as an indicator of how little people connect with an atmosphere lacking event.

That would be interesting. Personally - my own observations would come to a different conclusion to @Ric.The names, Robespierre!

I've had that discussion about the matchday thread before. There is no way you can watch a match properly, giving it full attention, and write, read and post at the same time. They all give their seemingly insightful knowledge of the game including tactics, player performances and expert advice for the manager a good airing when, in reality they have no clue as they've missed most of it staring at their keyboards. Anybody pissing about on the internet while we are playing gets zero credibility from me.I know this is well off topic, but.....
A conundrum for me has always been the match threads - I just don't get how they seem to be used.
I generally am at the match so do not use them - but when not I will be almost always watching on TV - as must every other poster that is on the match thread. How on earth do they find the time to look away and type? from the 2 or 3 times I have had a look at half-time some of the posts are more than the few words that I could fit in whilst concentrating.
Just one of life's little mysteries to me.
On the other hand, there are the post-match threads. I cannot remember ever posting in one of them either - but from the rare visit; I can see why they are often referred to as if they were dangerous places to enter - here be dragons!!!.
Now that is the some of dialogue and debate that I see some posters bring to the political threads!!! - ;-)
Just teasing!!! - spot the ;-)
Why can all threads not just be like:
