Another new Brexit thread

I wonder who'll be the last of the hold outs on here Hiro Onoda carried on for 29 years not believing his side could possibly have lost, maybe in a couple of decades Gina Miller will come on here and order the last one to lay down their keypad.
It’s a bit of a Brexiter myth that Remainers don’t think it’s over and we’re leaving. The discussion has moved on to what being out will be like.

Just one more to go.

You missed the bit about new EU regs that would affect our trade with Europe that we’d just have to suck up even if we don’t like them. That’s why we’ll be a rule taker with no say.
That's because it's totally obvious and we are already compliant. This is true of any nation or trading bloc we wish to deal with. A key difference though is that although the EU may dictate the terms upon which we deal with their members, they no longer dictate how we trade outside the EU. I suspect we'll find mutually beneficial ways to deal with the EU and if not the focus of UK business will shift elsewhere over time. I wouldn't expect a great deal of change by next weekend if I were you, but by all means brim the car and get an extra pint of milk in on Thursday if it comforts you to do so.

Gina Miller did the ‘Brexiters’ a favour. If it wasn’t for her then Theresa May’s WA would have been signed off without the necessary Parliamentary vote.

Why would I do that. I agree nothing will change for some time. The difference is that you think there will be a gradual change for the better and I think it will go the other way. Of course, if the government aren’t lying it will go shit a lot quicker.

We went round this circle yesterday. It's quite simple. We will be aligned with the EU when brexit happens, unless for some strange reason a load of rabid brexiteers in parliament want to stay up Thursday night rushing bills or ammendments to our existing legislation through 3 readings and the house of Lords. Failing that we will be just as aligned with the EU next Saturday night as we are now. Once we have left however we arefree to make changes to our UK regulations as we see fit, and to not adopt further EU standards that we don't fancy. The net result will be a gradual move away from alignment. This of course does not suit the hysterical narrative of those trying to scare everyone with tales of 'crashing out'. Saj may then be said to have told the truth (or lied) the on both occasions I suppose.
If I understand you correctly you're suggesting that the UK and the EU will agree a regressive trade deal starting with full alignment on 1.1.2021 and then introduction of tariffs and quotas as and when the UK deviates.
New one on me but who knows?
