Thanks for the lorry parks again. 7000 a day wasn't it? 35000 by the end of week one - minus of course the trickle that manage to navigate the beurocracy and make it over the channel. Probably not a bad thing as I'm not sure there would be enough ferries for the 7000 per day anyway. Also not sure where they'd come from as the UK largest fleet is a couple of hundred - maybe the EU would like their lorries back so they will ease friction somehow :-)

Yes, and for security cooperation to continue then there has to be a deal, there has to be agreement on data sharing and usage, protection of individual liberties and the retention of data on individuals, agreement on extradition, the legal basis on which it will be facilitated, what the UK will do with extradited persons from, say, Germany. Will they be sent to countries that Germany would not extradite people to, hence everything to be underpinned by the ECHR.

This cooperation does not happen by magic. It happens through negotiations, and legal agreements, agreements which hopefully we will abide by this time.

Every imaginable interaction with the EU requires legal agreement, whether it is fighting terrorism or taking your pet on holiday.

Thank-you. I do try to be nice and if I do take the piss it's to avoid a direct clash. I'm also happy to leave the thread for a bit if it helps the holy trinity feel better about themselves.
