Maybe all those involved should concentrate on sitting down and agreeing to a functional devolved government once again before spuriously claiming that the UK leaving the EU will be to blame for the tearing up (allegedly) of the GFA?
I know which one id be far more worried about.
I’m struggling to understand how it won’t be to blame.
The reason we have an open border now is because we’re in the Customs Union.
No improvements in the NI Government will stop the fact that if we leave the Customs Union and do not have a backstop, the GFA is dead.
This is even before going onto the hundreds of thousands of NI born, Irish passport holders and their rights and status, whilst living in NI.
The talking down of this issue by Leave voters is a hindrance to what you want, you need to see that. If we didn’t have this issue and our union was only England, Scotland and Wales, we’d have already left and with a fairly good deal, not as good as full membership but not too damaging.
