I'm surprised it was that high but in the grand scheme of things one day a week on strike each year doesn't actually sound that awful.

I for one hope these brave souls make a success of their endeavours, if they cruelly fall on hard times there will always be a place at the bottom of my garden for them. Actually come to think of it Fuck off I’ve worked for 34 years to own a small garden.

It is what happens when 'even the outside chance' that a no-deal outcome could occur

It has always been true that we would not see movement from the EU unless and until they were faced with the prospect of a viable walk-away option and the political will to use it.....

This viable walk away option you mention just doesn’t exist. A no deal brexit would hurt the UK much, much more than it would hurt the EU. So why would they see it as a threat? Yes it will hurt them but they are much better equipped than we are to absorb it.

It’s just not a viable threat.
