You are priceless mate. The reason for this shit show is the conservative party. Not remainers, not leavers, it's the tory party.
That is your opinion and I respect you right to hold it

as daft and myopic as it is

I can see you've got a lot of people to correct this evening, but if you have the time, any chance you could explain to me why blaming the tory party for brexit not happening, considering they've been in government so that makes sense to me, is 1) daft 2) myopic.

From what I've read and heard the EU are not for compromises. They want, like UEFA do to City, to nail us down to the floorboards and we have to pay for the hammer and nails! We should have told the Poles in 1939 and the French in 1940 that they should compromise with the German Chancellor, and stand back and see what their reaction was!

We told the French they could have an indissoluble union with the UK. No referendum. Too late.

Poland? "If Germany attacks Poland His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom will at once come to the help of Poland." That went well.

Maybe you don't read much on here mate but most remainers would compromise on a soft brexit at least
Oh I do...………….

And this new found sense of compromise as absolutely followed realisation of the risk of no-deal..... The majority or Remainers on here have previously to that spent 3 years indulging themselves in condescension and sheer fuckwittery

People have said for years on here that you will not see any change in positions until there is a need to face the threat of a no-deal - you guys have proven the validity of that view

Much of the shit has accumulated over the last three years and tons and tons of it has emanated from Westminster. Had they got on sorting the job out the day after the vote we would only be up to our knees in faeces instead of our armpits!
What our government should have faced up to after the vote was that in order to meet the requirement of leaving the EU while keeping the same regulatory and customs regime right across the UK and not upsetting the situation on the island of Ireland, the only outcome that meets all three objectives was to stay in the single market and the customs union. The government never faced up to that reality hence the shit situation we are now in. Parliament has just been doing its job. The fault lies squarely with the government for not facing up to reality, and for drawing red lines that were totally at odds with what was achievable without breaching international treaties.

TBF - at the moment anything that gets a clean Brexit done is fine by me

Tell me - why are you not appalled about and condemning the colluding of the Remainers with the EU - inconvenient?

"Clean" Brexit. Taken the shilling on the latest false promise.

Wrong again. A lot of us thought, and said on here, that a Norway style Brexit would be acceptable to both camps. Then May went hard right to chase the Brexit vote and here we are three years later. Shame no leading Leave figure had the balls or the wit to run with a compromise narrative after the referendum. In fact all I heard was ‘you lost suck it up’ and arguments why the 48% should be ignored. That turned out well.
You have a weird memory - that was not the way the threads read at the time

Rewriting the facts is an oft-used Remainer ploy over the years

A compromise, where unbreakable guarantees, set in stone, and witnessed by the heads of all major religions and backed by a trillion dollar surety from the brexit pod, that all the existing workers and citizen's right are guaranteed in perpetuity, the GFA and the back-stop likewise and any and every "deal" involving the US to have a ten year scrutiny /due diligence period, and an exclusion zone around the NHS, could have legs. On second thoughts, fuck compromise, I wouldn't trust a brexit in any way shape or form to even know what truth is. On the back of the dodgiest referendum in the history of dodgy ref's they assume the right to demand that remainers lie down and surrender, or else. Or ELSE? Our riots will be bigger than your riots, unless we get our way cos we won and you lost and corbyn is a racist and stuff. On top of that we are all shitting bricks now that brexit is happening......

The fault lies mainly with the Remainers that have served the EU through their intentional undermining of the UK's negotiations - they are found in all parties across the political spectrum

So it is daft and myopic to see this as purely a Tory probalem

Pahahahaha

Ladies and gentlemen, take a picture of this, print it and frame it.

It’s what the epitome of delusion looks like.

Maybe - just maybe, the EU have a deal of blame to be apportioned to them...…..?

They have brought forwards their strategies that confirm the federalist future of the EU and they have brought forward treaties to confirm the outcome will be secured for them

They have - with utter arrogance and contempt - dealt with any questioning countries - especially the UK - in a wholly condescending manner

In summary - they are the party majorly at fault if this does end up in no-deal

Fuck 'em is my view

All those condescending opt-outs. Such contempt. Such arrogance. Such nonsense.

The UKs attempt at negotition was comepletely fucking wank. It didn't need undermining in order to fail. It was so wank I find it impossible, in practice, to see how any real or supposed attempt to undermine it could have had any meaningful effect on the outcome. As a self confessed expert in negotiaton you can surely admit this much.

edit: trying to underme the British negotiating team is like trying to do an injury to Wile E. Coyote.
