The comment wasn't about racists or being called racists (except to Ifionlyhada... who insinuated we all were but has refused to confirm it and I'm still wondering why), I was talking about the notion that people only voted brexit to stop migration, as Verhofstadt and those who applaud his comments seem to believe.

Maybe you should direct you attention to them instead of those who disagree with Verhofstadts statements since you apparently agree with me on that sentiment.

Don't jump into interactions that don't concern you when you don't know the full story.
“Don’t jump into interactions that don’t concern you”. Now that is funny.
It’s a public football forum, not a private room at the Turf Club. You can of course, always use private messages if you’d rather people not comment on a public forum.

Yes it is. And as the countries economies and infrastructures improve the migration lessens and they in turn draw in labour from other countries. For example Poland from Ukraine. Approx 650k Ukrainians obtain EU citizenship via Poland per year.

This is no different to rural areas in England seeing migration of younger people to London or Scotland to England in times past.

What is interesting is this authoritarian belief amongst Brexiteers that ordinary people should be made to stay where they are, the need to restrict their ability to improve their lives for themselves and their families, the need to build walls between themselves and others.

Mini Trumpettes.
To London? I'm a Mancunian because my grandfather and his brother left Cambridgeshire to escape mechanisation of farming and started a building firm in Manchester.

I was going to call it part of "The Northern Drift" but I'm struggling to pin that down on Google though I'm sure it was in our history books explaining the mass immigration to the northern towns of the industrial revolution.

You didn't follow the conversation and jumped in with a comment about "complaining about racism" when in actuality it stems from a conversation I had with the poster in question about how he attempted to label all leave posters as racist, I asked if that meant Bluemoon posters as well and he's thus far refused to clarify.

So you've jumped in, not knowing the details. What concern is it of yours?

I really don't get it.

You think Brexit is done. We should move on. Those to whom it obviously isn't done want to discuss how it will be done (fish farming finance and factories) but "what next" seems to be of little interest to some of "the victors".

Its almost like they know it's going to turn to shit and can see it coming - like a massive chlorinated chicken on the horizon.

They're only repeated after yet another bout of claptrap appears like a recurrent rash.
The constant claims that the losers actually never lost, yet after a referendum, 2 elections and an EU Europarl
vote, the same shit is put up.
Why does it upset you if we think the EU campaign was based on lies and the subsequent elections skewed by the system? Even under the MEP system the Brexit party and the Tories got fewer votes and fewer seats than the other parties.

It only crops up here when Leavers run out of arguments and resort to yeah but we won.

“What concern is it of yours”. You’re doing it again.

I will discuss fish when you stop calling me a racist or a gammon or a trumpette etc and more to the point, telling me remain actually won?

Until such a time ive no reason to discuss much about anything with you as you dont deserve it.
I haven't called you any of those, and merely point out that apart from the referendum itself there was never a majority for pressing on with Brexit. The biggest victory was ensuring people never got the chance to show they had changed their mind.

You're skewed mindset about elections, and democracy is totally and utterly bizarre.
Using your methodology no government in history has been voted in democratically,
ever. Not your Labour party, not the Liberals, Conservatives, or anyone, nobody, nada, zilch.
Can you not see how fucking ludicrous that is?

Jumping in, what's this post that labelled all leave posters as racist? I have a feeling that whatever it said it didn't say that.

I remember the kipper on that O'Brien when the GE results came in, it looked like he was in the
grip of a severe bout of haemorrhoids. All that sterling work lambasting and ranting, and his smug
belief that people would act upon his sage-like musings, all of it went to ratshit.
Ah well.
Oh - do you have a link?

Would love to see that smug ****'s face when reality bit

As predicted - including by @BobKowalski - it looks like the EU are going to seek to drag this out until the Autumn

Although there is also much commentary on the need and the intention for the EU to make compromises - which tempts be to point out something that I have long held to be true...………..

But I will resist - the point is that we need to start No-Deal implementation now and not get sucked into the EU seeking to paralyse things

I'm not sure that article tells anybody anything much, except that you think we haven't prepared much for No Deal.

Not if you support proportional representation.

The best argument against PR is that having to work with minority parties to form a government is a bad thing compared to one minority party having absolute power. That's working well now, isn't it?

Western Europe supplies the opportunities, Eastern Europe supplies the cheap labour. Western Europe profits, Eastern Europe left reliant on Western Europe thanks to "handouts".

I think that you forgot to mention that

Western Europe secures ownership of Eastern and Southern Europe's assets
