No. He listed some perceived benefits of Brexit which half a dozen people disagreed with. I’m asking specifically about NTBs.
And the answer has been given to you.

The answer is "whatever..." If it allows trade to continue, what's the problem.

Sorry but “The intelligent folk” you refer to wanted to remain in the EU.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/brexit-voters-are-less-bright-than-remainers-7nk8s3272

I'm open to that view, but if we assume brexiteers are in the darkness of stupidity, do we feel that repeatedly calling them stupid is an intelligent strategy to change their minds and bring them out of the darkness and into the light of remain? If not, then why would we keep repeating this mantra which is so demonstrably ineffective or perhaps even counterproductive? The answer of course is that there is stupidity and arrogance inherent in both viewpoints when their proponents become radicalised by their own echo chambers.

Is anyone going to explain why spending billions on the introduction of NTBs with our largest trading partner is a good thing?

What are the benefits of increased prices and reduced trade as a result of the costs of the NTBs needing to be absorbed?

It’s all part of a cunning plan, the Italian Prosecco makers and the German car industry will be along any minute.....

Why are you so bothered about Brexiteers being called stupid? The vote has been implemented and we’ve left. Whatever anyone’s opinions of those that voted for this nonsense are irrelevant. It’s happening. I don’t give a fuck if you change your mind. It’s not going to change anything.

You misunderstand. I don't really care, but i do suspect we've ALL been played into assuming polarised views on this. Both certain that they are right, unable to really talk to each other, but very open to manipulation. Of course we all believe it's only the 'other side' that could be so stupid and twitter etc proves us (all) right.

Remainers continue to avoid what the discussions would be ongoing at the moment re the next MFF if we had gotten the referendum vote wrong

We would have been badly shafted and not been able to be control ourselves the recovery from the pandemic
So you're still talking about avoiding what I've already replied to twice. Weird.

I tell you what for balance as you were screaming for any brexiters to list any positive of leaving for a few pages .

why don’t you list 10 things on your project fear list that actually happened

That's easy, you just pick any bad news headline from 2016 on and put the words 'because of brexit' at the end of it.

Some will never move on from 2016.

They'll be talking about Farage, "the poster", "leave lies!" and leave voters to anyone within earshot from now until the end, becoming a tragically boring character amongst their own personal social circles.

While there might be a bit of that you are exaggerating the extent. A lot of the looking back is to illustrate the mistruths the leave campaign ran with. However I agree it’s a bit pointless when there is plenty going on now to discuss

Although if you prefer to discuss hypotheticals...

Turning half of Kent into a lorry park. Spending £705m to ensure UK industry has more red tape. Sterling still not recovered against the US dollar, to be fair this has been great news for me. Our automatic right to live in work in 28 European countries is about to be rescinded. We have been stuck with an internal customs border and our UK internal trade will see new trade barriers. Part of our sovereign territory is now under the economic writ of the EU. We have had to ask permission to build new customs infrastructure in part of our sovereign territory. We paid £39 billion for this to happen.

That’s just off the top of my head.

Which is the point; its no longer relevant to the discussion being held currently so why it is constantly brought up, especially since few on here (if any) were swayed by the Leave Campaign when making their decision.

Ooooh

That will be a challenge - at least if honesty and integrity are maintained
