You think it’s a good look for a country that’s trying to establish new relationships with other countries to renege on or weasel out of signed international deals?

I can see loads of countries queuing up to set up a great deal with such a trustworthy partner!

Do you actually think through any of the piffle that you write?

ha ha ha - yeah - the best way to embark on a marathon bout of trade talks around the world is to demonstrate to the rest of the world that you cannot be relied upon to negotiate in good faith and that any agreement reached will be considered worthless if, in say 6 months time, you feel its getting in the way. Operation Piss Everyone Off?

'kinnell - so Brexit will make one county in England only accessible to hauliers for a 24 hour period on acquisition of a permit - " papers, I vant to see your papers" - our "freedom" actually looks like restriction and control taken back is worthless

More internal border controls and checks. We’ll need fucking passports to do the weekly shop at this rate.

The bloviator actually thinks it's a good thing. "If dumping the PD = Perfidious Albion - then the term attracts positive connotations for me and I would like to see such behaviour as policy until we get free of EU controls." The reputational damage for trust in the UK as we look for deals with other countries is lost on him. That will be more pronounced so long as the WTO is being emasculated by Trump as an abritrating body. Who's going to judge on any disputes under a treaty? CAS?

AC just doesn't care, and just posts on here to demonstrate that.

But, hey, "we won".

Another tweeted photo of the post brexit problems taken before they happened with the amazing time travelling camera of twitter?

IDS - A politician so stupid he doesn't grasp that what his tweet actually highlights is the extent of his own stupidity

At least he’s worked out what Perfidious Albion actually means, unlike last time when he thought the phrase could equally be applied to the EU (or was that another member of the Brexit Brains Trust who thought that?).

I do believe that was him.

Good to see the thread back again.

The remain lobbying on Bluemoon is one hell of a machine at times ;-)

Very effective

I was surprised it was taken down actually - afterall it wasn't really an argument - just a bunch of Remainers queuing up to support each other to shout down the patently obvious truth posted by a single Leaver

There seems to be a few mainly blank pages - so the support group seem to have gotten back together

Just on the point that caused distraction yesterday - and just so that the subject can be put to bed - the truth is easily discerned - for those interested in the truth....

If Smith was interviewed today and asked the question:

"So Mr Smith - after your recent comments - would it be true to interpret them as reflecting that now your understanding of Brexit is that it is a crock of shit?"

If the answer is likely to be Yes - then I was wrong

If the answer is likely to be No - as 100% of posters on here would know would be the case - then I was 100% correct and all the Remainers that were queuing up to twist and squirm were 100% wrong

That is the last word that needs to be said on the subject - so I will not bother with anymore responses to desperate bluster and distraction

As if a politician ever gave a yes/no answer. Particularly that one.

The best bit of O'Brien was the day after the GE result, his whining, with a face
like boiled shite, made my day, for sure.
Never bothered since.
I might try to get a clip of that - it would be good to see the smug **** having, or at least trying, to suck it up

I am sometimes driving as his show comes on - they all seem to start the same - with a 5min sermon about what he is going to sneer at today set out so that his flock know what they should think and what they should say when they call in to reaffirm their adoration...

It just shows - a lot of people like to be told what to think

I fear you might be right. Whilst I don't agree with it, I get the 'free from the EU argument'. However the benefits of this new perceived self-determination are rendered pointless if it's self-harming, and given we've had 40 years of being intertwined was always going to be the case. If people genuinely think that's a price worth paying, then fair enough. I just haven't really heard that, and instead it's more about the satisfaction gleaned from pissing on Bob Geldof's chips. Any promises on trade, infrastructure etc that were sold as benefits have so far been shown to be patently false.
At least you seem to open to listening

Remainers - not aimed at you - are mainly one-trick ponies as they bang on about the trade impacts as if they are doing more than just doom-mongering

They avoid the inconvenient truths about how much the UK would be parting with in the decades to come to fund the EU's largesse whilst being unable to address our own priorities

I suspect that they avoid such thinking because either they don't like inconvenient truths or JO'B has not told them what to say yet

You know the answer is to have two threads. One (call it Brexit R) were Remainers can debate and discuss the shitshow sensibly and the other (Brexit L) for the others to entertain themselves.

It would be a great deal better than this where one side shouts over the wall at the other trying to provoke a reaction. I think I have had all I can take of 'easily discerned and obvious truths'. If I stick around I know I will breach the coc badly. Maybe a couple of weeks off will recharge my batteries for this shit.

Sensible idea.

Echo chambers-r-us where retweets can be purred over and mutual back slapping be given with no interruptions.

Save on the WhatsApp messages as well ;-)
