Of course both sides will make concessions - that is what negotiating is about - but at least the years of nonsense we have had on here about the omnipotent EU not having to give any ground has been well proven to be - well nonsense

I would have thought the obvious is that they will give something on LPF and Governance and we will give something on Fishing. That has been the case for some months.

You have seen some change then over your time on this planet Sir, I always believe we have much to learn from people like yourself, you have witnessed first hand things I have only read in books and seen on film. I was created in 1965 and was brought up listening to stories from my grandad who was born in 1903 and I was in awe of him, he has seen so much and lived through the hardest of times, he was a Socialist and his views obviously influenced mine. Most importantly though he was a Blue and I will be forever thankful to him for taking me to Maine Road.

Very convenient, the fact is millions of men ditched them, because of their ridiculous, preachy ad, but dress it up how you like.

Yes, we probably will, but the point was always that it would be us that gets to decide one way or the other. Macron has overstepped, Merkel has stepped in, and agreement about respecting British sovereignty has triggered talks.
Which was the point made almost 5 years ago.

They should have formally suggested that in March when it was obvious that Covid was going to have a long and devastating effect

Many suggest on here that it would be a good idea as 1) we can’t afford 2 economic crashes and 2) this government is incapable of handling one crisis never mind 2 - it will also give businesses that are needed to cut costs some breathing space as they won’t have to incur more

I doubt that very much, the response from the electorate would be too damaging.

Of course - again - my comment was not referring to your level of understanding

You are not one of the many Remain posters on here that have refused to believe that there would ever be a need for the EU to make any concessions

You are not one of the posters that seem to have a preference for bad news for the UK so long as it helps them win a debate on a football forum

Your comment shows that you have an understanding that other Remainers have lacked - why it would be an excellent result for the UK to secure a 3 year transition on fishing

Unbelievable. Why would it be an excellent result to continue to allow EU boats to fish our waters for three years? Would five years not be even more excellent?

You know, I know, even your yes men on here know that you'd have said it was excellent if we'd said not one fish from our waters from 1st Jan.

Yes it’s funny as fuck. This bizarre idea that British fishermen should be overjoyed that they have a 3 year transition from fishing in British waters to fishing in British waters. Must have taken some tough negotiating from our professional team.

I suspect our next stunning victory will be that the Germans will be able to export their cars to the UK tariff free and without customs checks for a 10 year transition period.
