Gina deserves our eternal gratitude and deserves to be decorated for her efforts. John Major, Anna Soubry, Owen Jones, Hugh Grant, Lord Adonis and Bob Geldof to be mentioned in dispatches.
Grieve and Bercow also to be given credit for the UK now achieving a genuine Brexit

Dreadfully remiss of me to omit such giants of influence.
So sad that shortarse didn't get his knighthood, I believe her Majesty was
advised not to perform the ceremony anyway, as due to his stature, there was a danger she'd put her back out.

Why does it say "identifyed by satellite" then?
AIS works by transmitting two signals, one detected by shore based receivers and one detected by satellite. The signal detected on the ground contains more information and when it is out of range all that’s left is the signal detected by satellite which contains less information. If it’s switched off it will be detected by neither.

Thanks for that.
The collapse in next year's quota must be more to do with the policy rather than those who are ignoring it.

Sensible controls, would you ask the same question of australias rules on food coming in that is long established.

We leave we are subject to their control measures and rightly so.
Hey - just a question

So I'll put that down as sensible controls from your POV

I think that discussing the issues of enforcement is something of a distraction at the moment - and probably this was started by a poster that just needs to run the UK down - by gloating over the number of boats, speed they travel and the area to be covered etc.

The key point would be that trawlers from EU countries would have to decide to knowingly break the law

Should they decide to do that then decisions and plans on enforcement can then be taken/made.

Hopefully, sometime in 2021 we will start to see all UK citizens looking to the good of the UK and this need for some to belittle the UK and hope for bad outcomes for the UK will recede

They are just rules. There are lots of rules that didn’t apply to us and will now apply to us. We can add them to the list of all the other things we have to sit down and negotiate with the EU about next year.

It‘s going to be a long list.

52% of the electorate voted to run the UK down whether they realised it or not.

A distraction for sure.

There should be legislation which will ban ships like this as soon as possible.

Here are your posts from the universal credit thread.

The first link you posted shows people with poverty being turned away, the middle obviously about a government admin error and the latter about how difficult it is on UC and the minimum wage.

Where’s the consistency, are they fair game if they voted leave?
For the first one, can you post the link to the thread please?
For the second, i cant see how pointing out that hmrc lost records is saying uc is too low.
And in the third, i'm pointing out how shit it is signing on or being forced into a minmum wage job. No sign of me saying UC is too low there either.

I don’t wish to get in a tit for tat argument and clog up the thread, I’m not in the business of trying to score points.

The first article just said that people have been turned away from UC, despite being below the poverty line.

The last point was the key one, as it was a general point about how difficult it was for those at the bottom and those on UC and minimum wage jobs, with it being sole destroying or words to that effect.

I don’t know if the poster in question is on minimum wage but he certainly cannot afford to go away.

With that many people struggling in the country I am just calling for a bit of consistency in our approach to supporting the less well off and some sensitivity towards them, even if people disagree with us.

I know you haven’t said this but another poster admitted the poor were fair game for mocking if they disagreed with him, I am sure you’ll agree that’s unacceptable and the opinion should be separate to someone’s financial situation.
