doesn't say he's automatically messi's calibre, it's a ludicrous comment to make about the lad.

ermmm yes in the barca youth and B team he played exacly the same as messi. the same style was all very very similar i never ever said he was as good as messi.

academy means very little, he hasn't made the grade there, regardless of who was in front of him, he couldn't get ahead of a crap Henry, Pedro etc. so really no, I find all this "he's the new blah blah blah" and "amazing and great and he has his style" absolutely ridiculous, it's annoying me, they aren't anything till they prove it as a first teamer, and that's the bottom line 2bh.

just because someone cant get infront of messi does that mean they arent a good player?
he would have been infront of pedro if he didnt pick up this major injury which then gave pedro his chance and he took it.
for you to shoot him down so early is a piss take. no one is saying he will become the worlds greatest player because he probably wont be he could become a good player for us and hes on a free so we arent losing out at all.

no, then why is he being labelled the "New Messi", ie. the new "world's greatest player"? Yeah he's on a free, apart from the lovely pay packet he'll pick up, and in 2 years we'll have to make a choice on him, in the 25 or not?

The comparisons came out of barca, players get compared all the time just because messi is absolute world class does not mean an up and coming player can not have a similar style of play.
He may end up a flop he may end up great but imo the way he runs with the ball etc i can see why those type of comparisons have been made.

Lol a bad one would still be great eh... i suppose its a no brainer from our point of view as i've mentioned before had a chat with Earl Barret a few week back and he said city were very keen on him and that he had impressed us.
