Another winter trip to Abu Dhabi

With our current injury crisis I would hope not. Take a trip over at the end of the season with some trophies, don't go in January.

I am currently on hols in AD, sat by the pool in the Hilton Corniche Beach club. It almost too hot to raise a finger to order a cold beer let alone play football. Could be cooler in Jan though.
Can not order a beer at the moment anyway due to selling/serving alcohol being banned from 5.30pm yesterday until 7.30 today to celebrate the Muslim new year. Totally different interpretation of the word celebration. No wonder our test team is struggling in the UAE, things might improve tomorrow.

Luv the line " what has Abu Dhabi ever done for us". It should be made into a song!

Last season was an utter disgrace, coming back the night before a tough FA Cup game, however much Pellegrini denied it was a factor in hat happened. If they do repeat it I hope they don't make the same mistake.

Didn't stand us in much good stead for the Arsenal match a few days later either.

A perfect location for a professional, mid winter, warm weather training camp

Beautiful climate, wonderful facilities,no jet lag. Potentially lots of upsides but we need to be back at least 48 hours prior to the next (home) game.

Real,PSG,Bayern,Barca etc all go to the UAE for thier winter breaks

Abu Dhabi is a remarkable place. The level of investment and scale of development is utterly breathtaking. Everything is done to world class standards and is future proofed. The Sheiks Family's vision simply has no limits.

If you think the Etihad & CFA are impressive you ain't seen anything yet......buckle up and enjoy the 'Etihad' flight.

Hope we're still in the cups though !!

well they do get a month off at christmas

All well and good if there's a winter break but there's no let up in the English season to avoid a repeat of the Middlesbrough fiasco.
