Perhaps they wanted to have him for the CL qualifiers and now he can come? I have no idea where he fits in the squad in terms of numbers though.
How does that work for CL registration, does that mean he's cup tied? Also does he track back.

No he's not cup-tied and Pep wouldn't be interested if he didn't work hard off the ball.
Pretty sure he would be cup tied as Zagreb have Qualified,if they wouldn't of qualified he would be OK.....I may be wrong.
Can anyone translate this into English?

You are wrong. It used to be that way round but it's not anymore. Qualification doesn't matter.
Everyone was talking about it last night with Hart and it was clarified by quite a few good journalists.
Talks about personal terms broke down when Coric's agent asked Man City's representative where Coric fits in Pep's plans. (Vecernji)
The answer from Man City's representative was: 'We'll see, you just sign.' After that, the talks were doomed to fail. (Vecernji)
A proposed option was a loan to Granada, but Coric's people didn't like the idea of his next step being a Spanish relegation battle. (VL)
Cheers mate...same person has posted that we had agreed fees with his club but sounds like he didnt want the loan deal that was on offer. Seems like we dont feel he ready to join the squad right away.
It was obvious....like with Zinchenko. The club seems to be using Pep's name to lure young players into signing for us. With the hope that some of them will flourish under Pep's guidance. And those that won't....can be sold for profit. Moreno and Zinchenko especially. It's not a coincidence that suddenly when Pep arrives....we use the Chelsea model of signings young players for a decent fee, then loan them out. Some young players might not like the idea.
I think you're wrong, man. IMO, Pep is on a way to repeat Cruyff's attempt of 1995 to make a team full of young, hungry players eager to learn the new total voetbal philosophy. Zinchenko is a real jewel, not an average promising player to earn a buck by resale. In case of Coric, he is deluded if he thinks he can jump right into the EPL without any intermediate stage. Maybe the boy is surrounded by wrong people. As for Granada, you can't find a more 'Pep-styled' manager in Spain than Paco Jemez. He plays 'Juego de Posicion' just like Guardiola. It was obvious....like with Zinchenko. The club seems to be using Pep's name to lure young players into signing for us. If the above posted news are to be trusted, Coric was meant to be loaned to Granada.Moreno has gone to Deportivo, not Granada. Agree on all the other points. Pep is building a new chapel. His successors will merely hv to paint it.
I can only add that attackers have a real fun with Paco Jemez. He's not a typical defensive 'relegation coach'. He's clearly Bielsa-Sampaoli-Pep - typeGranada is a good stepping stone for Coric. IMO, ball-playing midfielders should do everything to listen to Pep & not let go of a chance to play for him one day, if not this year, next year or in the future!

Well, he's gonna stall his development if he stays in Croatia. Watched Zagreb's clash vs Red Bull, it was horrible.Fair point but I can understand someone like Coric who's played at senior level for club and country, wanting to make the step up to the prem and not wanting to be loaned out to what he might see as a lower level of football. If these reports are true, I like the confidence the lad is showing in himself. He must feel that if City not willing to show the same confidence in him, there is another big club that will. Maybe another club is offering 1st team football? Maybe we could agree to let him stay with his current club this season which might be a good deal for all?
