Terrible value for €100m, you should have learned from the Suarez and Coutinho deals (especially the latter) that you are on the receiving end of a scam that even the Nigerian con artists would be proud off.

Mbappé is 8 years younger than Griezmann.

It'll be interesting to see what Griezmann can do in an attacking side like Barça.

It doesn't make sense for Atletico.

Only thing that would be ok, would be to pay the clause amount without having to pay in a one lump payment.

Why should Atletico give 25 M discount to Barcelona when the latter is the one desperate to buy ?

Well, for one, Mbappé is not worth 120 M. He was bought 145 M + 35 M whenever he pens a new contract with PSG or is sold. So, 180 M €.

Now that he is at PSG, he is worth way more than the initial fee. He is worth more than double what Barca is playing for Griezmann. Not saying he is twice the player, just that his value in this market is way higher.

There was even report Real would be ready to pay 280 M€. But PSG is not selling so Barca ought to buy what is available. There are not a lot of players as good as him available (Hazard only wants Real Madrid) for Barcelona.

Suarez will go down as the greatest #9 the club has ever had, he was a bargain

Coutinho was a panic buy compounded by zero sporting logic. No one doubts what Griezmann can do, only question is if Barça intend to play without a striker- Leo as a false 9 again
 
Good player, but while de Jong, de Ligt, and Griezmann would add a new spine to Barcelona, it would rather overlook the lack of lungs in the middle of the park. Liverpool and Spurs showed that neither Barcelona nor Ajax could resist their respective physical pressing, and such signings don't strike me as addressing that issue. Will presumably stroll through the domestic league but will likely again be susceptible in the CL.
 
No chance we are buying Griezmann. Spunking €100m on a player who is 29 next March doesnt seem our style

My guess would be PSG, Bayern too possibility considering they need attacking reinforcements

I understand all, just your "we don't want to make Atleti angry" didn't really fit somehow there.
 
MD are unreliable for certain things but when it comes to refuting transfer deals, they have yet to be wrong in my experience. They say nothing has been agreed with Griezmann and that the player has simply put himself on the market - even saying PSG have been the first to react

More worryingly, for me, they say De Ligt may have had his head turned by Liverpool
