Antoine Semenyo | Considering triggering the £65m release (p13)

It come down to simple things
Do we need that type of player?
The answer is yes and he has proved how good he is in the prem.

As for Liverpool, they bought two average fullbacks, overplayed for a forward and bought a player not suited to their system (whatever that now is)
This wasn't the prevailing view in the summer.

They wre signing the best young attacking prospect in world football, the 2nd best striker in the league... 2 full backs a majority of our fans considered superior to the ones we had and 5jey were already ahead as returning champions before any of those purchases.

I think.the overarching conclusion one can reach is that prospects are not a sure thing, no matter how good they looked playing in their previous team.

Not remotely a shot at either of you but I miss when this club was mainly followed by actual supporters vs. so called fans.
I agree with this although it comes with the success. I don’t mind new fans at all I just miss sane takes and people being well minded.

It’s not normal to have the success Pep has had, yet certain people expect him to do even better.

How many goals and assists does he have last 3 seasons?
35 in 82. I think. But playing for a Bournemouth side where the opposition might afford him more space than he would get for us. How will he adjust mentally? He's 25 should be in his prime.
He's hardly a can't miss prospect

But I'm happy to be proven wrong and will back him to the hilt if he joins

If it's true, I expect Bobb will be loaned out in January and then either he or Savinho will leave in the summer. Already struggling to give Marmoush enough minutes to get a run of form going, so we definitely won't add another forward without letting one go.
Sav will force a Jan move….needs to be in the shop window for a seat on the bench in the WC

As much as I could say I hope so he’s actually getting minutes at the moment.

Bringing in another winger, but being without Marmoush in Jan makes me think we could keep him. Unless we need to offload him for ffp.

Pretty decent that the only doubt with any player is how they play with the pressure of having to perform win every game

This doesn’t make much sense at all. Have they changed their minds this quickly on Marmoush,Savinho and Bobb?…most fans knew they were not the required standard but why not do it in the summer. Bizarre stuff.

Marmoush isn’t a winger. Savio and Bobb aren’t hitting the ground running.

Wouldn’t be surprised to see Marmoush play as a 10 and Foden on the right. It’s like fitting Alvarez back into the team.

Semenyo can rotate with Doku but also play on the right if needed.

Yep we need him just to give us options even to rest Doku occasionally
The Doku that so many claimed would never be good enough only a few months ago.
Without time, even Rodri would have failed, not to mention countless others.
I cannot grasp the seeming inability of some fans to get behind players and allow them to develop.
You cannot develop without minutes on the pitch.
Otherwise, say goodbye to any young players joining the team and sign all the finished articles you wish. I cannot think of anything more boring than that myself.

FWIW I suspect all of Liverpool's summer transfers will come good. They're all fantastic players, and whether their current issues are down to adding too many players too quickly, the Klopp era players checking out, Slot not being good enough, Jota's death, standard post win hangover...whatever it is, Isak, Frimpong, Wirtz, Ekitike are all quality. Kerkez could have been a flash in the pan at Bournemouth, but he's also 22 so loads of time to come good.

I also think they were really unlucky the CB they bought did his ACL first game...could have been a very different season if he'd been fit and playing instead of Konate.

He wouldn't be one we'd sell for ffp.
We paid £30m for him less than 2 seasons ago

I feel like the comparison to Bony is way off.
Think Bony was signed mainly because he had a good game against City ?
I remember him being strong enough to fend off Vinny, not many could do that.
This lad is a completely different type of signing.
His electric pace will be a threat - see his goals away to Liverpool as proof that he is not scared to run directly and score solo goals...
