Used to be a bit cautious about signing players from midtable Prem clubs, unless they are a Mahrez with genuine title-winning, POTY-pedigree.
But I kind of feel the Prem has evolved even a bit more into a super league in the last 5 years, even more so in the last 2. Average players like Lookman and McTominay goes abroad and turn into the best players in their leagues. Players like Reijndeers and Wirtz comes into the league as world-beaters and is made to look incredibly average.
Right now I feel like the best players are mostly playing in the Premier League, and every team in the league has a player or teo who could do a job for an elite team. A bit like where Serie A was in the 80's and 90's and the Spanish league were around 2010. Prem proven is maybe for the first time a real factor. For this reason I am excited about Semenyo, where 5 years ago I would be very hesitant
