Antoine Sibierski - Your memories

Head like a 50p, would probably have been better in a better side.

It always seemed that when we lost possession it was a ball from him or to him.

He looked a decdent player at Newcastle in their UEFA cuo run after he left us.

As a Newcastle fan I have to agree with your last comment. We signed him right at the death on deadline day and I have to say that like most fans, I was massively underwhelmed, but he proved me wrong and became something of a cult hero.

At first my reaction to seeing him anywhere near the first team was, christ. A few games in and that changed because he always gave 100% and could come up with an important goal, he scored 4 goals in Europe which isn’t bad considering he was only at the club for one season. It still seems mad that we let him go and brough in the awful Alan Smith from your neighbours.

It’s a shame that he had to bury his daughter, no father should have to bury their children.

One of my best mates is 'one of you lot' let me use his membership for the Yaya game the week before the Kun one but that's another story.

We used to go and watch you in that cup run in the boozer....it's a while ago now but you seemed a 2 man team, with Sib doing a glanced header & Krull pulling you through each game.

Everyone used to end any sentence about Sib ……….. but he’s good in the air!

He actually wasn’t really. I just remember him being a bit of a nothing player but apparently a really nice bloke and of course he was good……………………
