Any norn iron blues give me a heads up what antrim is like? Where to go in the area? Giants causeway obviously ... where else ?

Can't go wrong mate, best county in Northern Ireland for scenery and friendly folk.

Londonderry Hotel in Carnlough and Bushmills Inn in Bushmills for starters.

Let me know what ur after and hopefully I can help.

Bushmills distillery, round glens of Antrim through Carnlough, Ballintoy etc as far as portstewart and portrush although could be a bit bleak that time of the year

Not sure much to do in Antrim town itself, can head in opposite direction to Belfast

If you are into Game of Thrones lots of it was filmed here, there will be numerous tours.

As OB says...Portrush and Portstewart are favourites...good beaches but the weather may not be too great...if you like Irish Whiskey then Bushmills is worth a visit.

The drive from Belfast, up to the North Coast is beautiful

Bushmills is definitely worth a visit, don’t drive there though as it’s well worth trying the samplers

With a little help froM the comments above we are slowly coming up with a plan for our trip..

... next question...

Is there anywhere you would suggest heading to in the republic ? Sligo looks the most direct place ?
