Any penalties given dubiously to City?

I always thought City got a dubious penalty v Spurs in the 1981 Cup Final replay - was it really a foul? Mind you, that was massively outweighed by all the dodgy ones given against us (Sun Jihai!!) or those bad fouls by opponents not penalised (on Silva at the Bridge).

Any other (rare) cases when refs were a tad generous to us in their awarding? Not that many, I'll be bound.

Can`t remember who we were playing within the last couple of seasons (H) when Dzeko went down in the first half (towards the SS) like a sack of spuds and a very fortunate pen given.The fucker must have gone about 6 foot up in the air,but never in a month of Sundays was it a pen.Seen Franny and Wyn Davies go down over the years and at times I`d have been pissed off had they been the opposition.
The worst case was when Granny Shagger went down against Arsenal and fucked up their 48/49 unbeaten run.Criminal award that one.

We got a dodgy penalty at the end of the season when we got promoted under Keegan. The stage was set for Pearce to get 100th goal and he smashed it high and wide.

That's all I can remember. We get ones like these but then don't get absolute stone wallers sometimes. There've been a few where you don't get much more blatant and the officials just wave play on. Yet they'll give very dubious ones. Bizarre!

Video refs would clear up a lot of the strange decisions if refs are unsure though.

Not dodgy, just plainly incorrect. Jonny Moss on the word of the lino saw the ball go 'near' the Villa fullback's arm and bingo, pen! How to handle the ball without touching it! Much like Micah at Anfield when it hit him on the leg!

The Wanchope 'dive' at Lokeren was teh worset given for City. The worst not given was away at Everton where the hand ball was 5 yards in the box and given outside.

The one v spurs for City for handball in 1990/91 was unusually harsh for those days.
