How many very very good players could we sign for 100m? Shouldn't we have a team that we complete by signing Kaka as the crown jewel? If we sign him now and put him in the team as it stands with MH as manager will he be and do what we all hope? How on earth will the rest of the squad react? Im really worried by the prospect. Half of me agrees with you and the other half thinks we have a chance of seeing kaka play for us!
We can't do anything about so lets just sit back and enjoy the ride!!

The thing with signing Kaka is it CANNOT stop there. We need another world class defensive midfielder, and a world class centre half (Kolo and Yaya?? please? pretty please??) at the very least.
Otherwise, as i have said previously, putting Kaka in our current squad is like having Frankie Dettori race on a donkey

We can spend another 100 million on some more then, why worry about signing one of the best players in the world. This is the kind of mentality Robinho was talking about, if we want to compete with the best, we need to buy the best.

Just tell me how Kaka on his own is going to turn things around for us? Wouldn't you like a proper team of quality players first i.e. Given, Agger, Alex, Zabaleyta, Bridge, Veloso, Ireland, Petrov, SWP, Podolski, Robinho then add him? Couldnt we but a team like this for less than 100m

We've got 18 games left if Kaka comes and we get at least one top defender in to then who says we can't collect 50 or more points in the rest of the season... and add an extra point for gola difference.
That would put us in the 70-80 point range. Might not win us the title this season but it would put us in the top four, hopefully at the expense of you know who.
And it would send shockwaves throuh EUrope thats for sure!!!!

I think the point you are making is that City have shipped a lot of goals in and stupid goals at that.
As a priority if we can sign world class attacking players then we must buy the world class defensive ones too.
Again as per previous comments -the defence really needs a shake up and strengthened ,bridge has joined but we must continue.
As statistics show we can score goals but we bloody leak them.
Once we can sort that out we can climb the league-no doubt!

signing kaka opens the gates for city. all of a sudden, negotiations with other playes become easier. regardless of league position on 13th jan 2009, plenty of 'world class' players would sign up.
