Anyone a fan of folk music on here?

Drumshanbo do these as well and are very good
They do indeed, but it’s a recent thing for them. I think the most aged they have is about 5yo. They’ve been at gin distilling a lot longer. They do a very good tour of the distillery. My mate did it and was impressed. Next time I’m in Carrick-on-Shannon (which is often) I intend getting to it.

When I was a youngster I worked in the original factory, making Bo Peep jam.

Used to go in the Star Inn in Higher Broughton to play pool with mates. One night we went on Folk night.....they're very serious, aren't they? They stopped halfway through a song and one of the folkies came into the pool room to tell us to keep the language and noise down. As we were a good bunch of lads, we nicked all their instruments.
Kidding...we stopped playing pool and sat and listened to the folk music with the old folkies. It was a good night, but the music was fcuking awful.

I grew up with and around many of Manchester’s Irish musicians. still plenty of sessions and live music going on. A good number are blues too.
