The forecast was for the next 2 weeks, as those that have been to Cornwall there is very little to do there when the weather is shite, as for football teams, over the last 45 years of supporting City nobody would of been surprised if any of us had given up and gone home or elsewhere, but we didn't, you !Fuck me. Some people are fucking spoilt twats.
It's a bit of rain. Lasted 4 days and then fucked off to Rhodes?

In spite of the rain I have enjoyed it. Went to port Isaac last night where doc Martin is filmed - lovely. Never seen rain like it though. Don't like the heat that much anyway!

Cornwall is a strange place. The vast majority of people live in poverty (It's one of the top 10 poorest regions of Northern Europe) and I've found the locals to be a strange mix, they tend to very rich or on the breadline. A lot of Cornish kids can' afford to stay so have to move elsewhere for housing and employment.
It always reminds me of a place where people just tend to go to die OAP's retiring and heading off to place where they believe their life will be better. It's quicker to get to one of the Canary Islands from Manchester and at least there you can all year round sun, as the nearest motorway to Cornwall is the M5 I believe and the railway is ridiculously expensive. Polperro is a small town and has some nice scenery (very much like Port Isaac WW).
Oh and to top it off the vest majority of 'Locals' support ManU or Liverpool

I had a cornish dad and my mum was from yorkshire and she found it hard to get accepted in our cornish family,us kids grew up there so we had no probs but i can confirm the proper cornish people can be a tough crowdCornwall is a strange place. I went in his restaurant in Falmouth. Good food but pricey, especially if feeding a hungry family. Best fish and chips there is from the chippy next to Trago mills in the town. Beware of the seagulls though, they are experts at robbing food and will swoop down and fly off with anything, last year a poor kid had his ice cream snatched out of his hand!Cornwall is awesome WW - plenty to do for both adults and kids. Much has already been touched on but St Michael's Mount as already stated is well worth a visit. Lands End is a bit shit but I'd still go just to say you've been. There's no shortage of cracking beaches - Perranporth is one of my faves but it gets mad busy so you may be best off trying to seek out a quieter one. Padstow is a great place if you're a foodie - it seems that Rick Stein has his moniker on half the eateries there. Try his chippy if you're eating on the go - the fish and chips are to die for and the tartare sauce is something else. We went in one of his shops and got a jar of the best piccalilli I've ever tasted. And if you want something more discerning book a table at his Seafood restaurant - I've not been but I'm led to believe you won't be disappointed.

One of the fuckers sneaked up behind me in st Ives slapped me on the back with its wing and when I turned round another one of the fuckers swooped down and pecked my Cornish pasty out of my hand
