Anyone been to Berlin?

Got a birthday coming up soon with a '0' at the end of it, and am looking to go on a citybreak with t'other half.

Have heard some great things about Berlin and was wondering whether anyone had been over there. I'm attracted to the history of the city, but understand that it's got some good hotels and nightlife, too.

Advice appreciated!

ugly as hell, but pretty alive. Live here for 17 years now. But it´s really a better experience in summertime. History in every corner (mostly the dark parts of european history, of course)

Last time I was in Berlin there was a wall!!!

Mon Cherie s was the gentlemen's club of choice. Not sure If it's still there now.

My great uncle Adolph was there in the 40's but dont know what he got up to,seems he was the black sheep of the family,no one wants to talk about him.must of been a rag !!!
