Flu since boxing da. 2 days in bed with fever and shivers. Sore throat and cough ever since. Covid presumably
Ours are artificialLook up Christmas Tree Syndrome.
Over the last three weeks I developed a rasping cough, runny nose and sore throat.
It coincided with getting a Fraser for Christmas tree.
It seemed to get worse when I was in room the tree was.
The paroxysms of coughing were to the point of retching.
It seemed to lessen when I had a bath or was outside.
I did A bit of googling and found the above.
So we stripped the tree and got it outside.
Since then the sniffles have stopped and the cough has virtually disappeared.
It’s all down to mould spores and something called terpenes in the sap of the tree.
Feeling slightly better tiday; less of the aches and pains. Still got the runny nose and annoying cough. First decent night's kip in a while last night. I've got Lemsips coming out of my ears right nowLast few days, I've had one of those annoying, chesty, phlegm-y coughs along with a runny nose and plenty of aches and pains. I just put it down to being an FOC.
Ah, memories. I had similar issues on a river cruise. I really thought it was going to be Death on the Nile.Thought I’d drank and ate a bit too much Boxing Day, woke up in the early of 27th shitting through the eye of a needle, I’ve felt fucking awful since, thought it could be food poisoning but not had a crap for 3 days but every time I eat I feel like I want to throw up. Had shivers for 24 hours at the start and now just feel shit and aching, lost about 4lbs in weight, which is what I’d put on in December!
Pub one of the worst places for catching germs………stay homeWent out to watch the Arsenal v Villa game at the pub and have felt like shit ever since.
Might be manflu, might just be the close proximity of a pub full of Villa fans
