anyone go on the club daytrip to schalke?

Went to Schalke independently but might have to take the club daytrip to Copenhagen. Do you get a chance for a drink etc, or are you dumped at the stadium straight from the airport?

Fraser, I did the TC trips to Schalke and Santander and both left you time in Cologne and Santander to go for a beer etc.

It's normally a 7am flight so you're off the coaches in the town by 11am latest really. If the games a decent trip out of the town they'll also hang around and bus you upto the ground too...

Great idea until you're doing a 1.5 hour trip that turns into a 3.5 hour trip from Cologne due to accidents and a 45min wait for a non-existent Police escort in Schalke!

Have found that on the whole they're really well organised and run so fully recommend doing it. That said i'm doing Copenhagen independently!!!

Agree with Broady.
7 am out of Manchester, plenty of time in Cologne,problems on the autobahn couldnt have been foreseen.
Well worth it when you consider some of the prices others had to pay and roundabout routes they had to take

Due to lack of holidays I did the 1 day official trip to Santander. Wouldn't normally consider it as I always thought it a bit pointless travelling somewhere new like that and not having at least 1 night there. But overall it was very good and well organised if a little bit pricey and I'd do it again if necessary

Due to the late ko we were drinking in Santander from 11:30 till 8pm but you might not get that much time in Copenhagen.

Having said that we're returning to the obligatory 2 night piss-up for Copenhagen!!
