Anyone know about Computer Viruses?

Got a virus on my computer which was picked up on AVG. The file / virus is located in system 32/services.exe. Now it says its 'white listed' which means its a core folder so it cannot be addressed as its a vital for the computer.
Any ideas what i should do?
The virus i think was received by a microsoft office 2010 patch which a friend tried to sort out for me.
Also the only problem i have had so far is that wen trying to click on a link on google sometimes it will just randomly take me to eBay?

Restart the computer, holding f8 to go into safe mode.

Run a full system scan in safe mode and see where it goes.

I had this. Is it called Trojan.dropper.servicesexe32 or something along those lines? I tried for days to get rid of it, then TCIB helped me. He sent me a program which removed it first time. PM him.
