So in other words Jose wants to come, there's a few who don't want him @ City though but they're in the minority?

This minority still has a fully respected/influential/informed opinion.

But believe they won't call the shots if it comes to it.

Suppose it is a similar conflict of interest as January with the attempt to make a rapid progression forward with Kaka.
Are we likely to go back in for Kaka. Spent 30 mins reading this thread and i'm no clearer to what's going on...thanks to the doom-mongers and 'realists' bombarding the thread. ;-)

When it comes down to it, if Sheikh Mansour decides he really wants something, then that's going to be all that matters, just as Roman gets what he wants at Chelsea. Others can try to influence him or change his mind, but ultimately he'll decide. That power is what being the owner effectively gives you.

ZZ... if you would indulge me... would it be okay if I summarised exactly what you are claiming as things stand today?

Forget the January stuff, deals fail for many reasons... so let's go with what you are stating at the moment...

1. There is going to be a press conference next week on Mark Hughes.

2. Mourinho has drifted to the top of the pile for next season's manager.

3. Hamann is going to become coach at City this summer.

4. Yaya Toure is lined up as our first signing.

5. Stevie Ireland is moving to Spain...???

Can you confirm?

Is there anything else?

At least this way we can compare you with Ajay! Best of Luck in the ITK Trophy chase...

OMG, having been warned through pm's to expect this, I can't actually comprehend the void some people need filling. Soulboy this isn't a attack b4 you go on the offensive, but, and again this isn't aimed at you, i've stated numerous times but stuff is filtering over from the muen that I can assure you isn't me. Now to clarify:

(1) + (2) Not two weeks ago I was told that the forces in abu dhabi were upset that Hughes was receiving such barracking in the media with regards to his job, they were going to issue a statement as to reinforce commitment to him, however having received tit bits of info regarding the Mourinho rumor, I contacted my confidant who indeed is privy to such info, and he literally said the two twigs that were rubbed together are now very much a forest fire, in other words the board are being coy due to a) hughes has started to develop good relations with the staff, which I posted last week b) as much as those who detest him, they are indeed a minority, consensus is growing support for him, so to conclude the point the owners are boxing clever, unlike ricky, and if jose says yes, which signs point to that, he will be in, and be prepared for it to happen very quickly if it does.

3)Hamann has indeed been offered a coaching role, but all contract negotiations are on hold, I wonder why? That goes for Studge, Ireland, BERTI, and Zara Billington.

4) Again as I expressed yesterday, Yaya is a golden egg Barcelona are willing to trade as to not get into a bidding war over David Villa..... and that is the hot itk

5) Not even gonna warrant a response. Beware of tim burgess.

Cheers for the clarification. I was only trying to draw a line in the sand with what you've been saying as there is so much shit flying about on boards at the moment.

There appears to be about THREE Zimmermans out there whichas The Temps would say, makes for a ball of confusion!

Interesting about Zara Billington... (it's Sara isn't it?)... I thought she had already gone? Unless you know different? A bit of a Jacob's... a real cracker!!

Intimating that Shiekh Mansour wants Jose... and what he wants he gets ? (I would hazard a guess he might have been impressed with the fact that Jose apparently approached the Shiekh as opposed to us going after him ??), thoughts Rammy ?

And I also suspect that he and Khaldoon al Mubabrak are the only ones who actually know what will be happening and that everyone else is just guessing.
The only thing about Mourinho though that doesn't sit right for me is that the Sheikh is clearly not one for publicity. Hughes seems like a Sheikh Mansour type of guy; under-stated, efficient and not a publicity seeker. Mourinho is not understated or publicity shy and I have a suspicion that the Sheikh may not be comfortable with that.

And to go further, what I've inferred from posts on here is that Mansour would want Mourinho, while others on the board advocate sticking with Hughes. Now, I've come around to being muchmore positive about Hughes in the last three or four weeks, and I'd feel sorry for him if he were sent packing.

On the other hand, it would be a very brave step to send someone with Mourinho's pedigree packing, and I don't think we should. And I can imagine I'd be even stronger in holding that opinion if I were throwing at this 'project' the amount of cash Mansour is.

Jose would not be my No1 choice by any means, but compared to the tosh we have had to put up with this season, its a no-brainer.

Welcome O special one!!!

Open question to all those so called ITK's. Fair enough if Mourinho came in and then signed these superstars then that's lovely, despite me being £50.00 down to what is an awesome charity (Supermans) so I don't mind that much. Back on topic, why would they sign for what is likely to be a simple top eight, top ten club? Why would they sign on the strength of the manager? It just defies belief.

Tell you what lads, give me a percentage. How confident are you that Mark Hughes shall be relieved of his duties and that he shall be replaced by Jose Mourinho? (that manager in particular)

I don't know why but unlike everyone else I'm not particularly buying into all this.

CTID, Dont get me wrong I have reservations but mainly because I cant believe that we are in the position of even possibly having this calibre of individual at MCFC. I would be delighted if it hapened (albeit a little sympathetic towards Hughes as I feel he has done well as the season has progressed), but if we have a chance of these people we have to take it.

What % would you feel confident about from Tolmie and Rammy ?

Im in the same boat to guys, its just nice to dream about top players playing for your club

so we're saying basically the same thing as we were in january.... if one domino falls, the rest will follow. mourinho, ibra, kaka, tevez. otherwise, it'll be as we read in the papers, hughes, crouch, etc.

both boooooooooring.

could someone please start a van gaal, benzema, aguero rumour? is it just me who'd prefer to be buying the youngsters and moulding them into a perfect footballing team?
