Anyone know what exactly you need for this? Is there no type of eurovox/dreambox where you do not need a cable and can receive the channels with a basic ariel and by entering the codes for the PPV channels?

I had them for a couple of years and they were great for a one off payment. All the sports, movies and even pay per view channels. Alas the word spread and half the folks of Dublin got them. So the cable provider (NTL) kept switching the codes monthly then weekly then daily. Finally they flew some hot shot techno head in to Ireland and they actually changed the NTL bandwith, which rendered the boxes useless. Not much help I'm afraid buddy but there ya go lol.

Keep your money in your pocket.Early 2010 virgin will be rolling out a new encryption method used by Sky and other cable companies worldwide called Nagravision 3 making Eurovox and similar boxes worthless.West Yorkshire ie Leeds,Bradford and Harrogate were chosen as the first area to start Nagra 3.I was looking to buy a box myself but after a bit of research on techwatch.co.uk and digital kaos .co.uk decided to save a ton and bought a sumvision cyclone mkv player instead.Hope this helps.
