I know Manchester gets very little good press now Utd are completely shite, Gallipoli is always portrayed as an ANZAC campaign and many fought and died there, but many British soldiers and sailors gave their lives there as well especially local troops least we forget.

There's a bench one Littleborough Station with a plaque informing that some young local lad was killed at Gallipoli.
