My mistake mate, I misread what you meant earlier in the thread when you said it was via college, apologies.

Bezz,

From everything I have read (including pm's the other week) you are being shafted and the company are breaking the law.

Just to confirm for my simple mind.

1) You are not going to collage?
2) You are not learning a skill /trade?
3) You are being paid apprentice wages?

I am sure mackenzie and / or bluemoon dan will confirm that this cannot be called an apprenticeship.

If this is the case then they will also NOT offer you a job at the end.

1) You are not going to collage? i dont go to college no.
2) You are not learning a skill /trade? it is supposed to be customer services, i did do an nvq but had to do it in my spare time.
3) You are being paid apprentice wages? yes

i have asked my manager for a copy of my contract but nothing has happend and i still have not got a copy.

I'll give it a week or so before they 'let you go'.

And what the fuck does an apprenticeship in customer service involve? More hogwash so they can pay you as little as possible.

Aldi in Whitefield are looking for staff with a starting wage of £9 odd per hour.

I'm sure you would mate.

In my day it was the YTS scheme that was abused by a lot (not all) of employers, with the approval of the government. Sounds like these modern 'apprenticeships' are the same horse with a different jockey.

I'll have a shufty. More interesting than doing my own work.

That's really deceeent of you mate, you ever thought about cranking it up a few levels, and being the next bob crow? Get some sort of union going, for those that don't believe in unions? The DUNCE is a great name. (district union of non conformist employees)

I was thinking of making a Union for the Unions which in turn could be looked after by a Union and then i can be a scab
