That's really deceeent of you mate, you ever thought about cranking it up a few levels, and being the next bob crow? Get some sort of union going, for those that don't believe in unions? The DUNCE is a great name. (district union of non conformist employees)

I was thinking of making a Union for the Unions which in turn could be looked after by a Union and then i can be a scab

Bwahahaha!

im looking in the northwich / middlewich / winsford / crewe area

Have you tried Roberts Bakery or the chicken farm in Comberbach? Not sure what else is around there now.

Yes they are shit jobs but they do pay and don't pretend to be something they are not. I know the chicken farm used to pick up as well.

At least something like that will give you a better wage and a bit of stability until you can get some more qualifications.

They pissed it away? Who and how?

Every fucker. The bankers, the politicians, the 'let's get credit' crowd who had no means to pay it back.

That was my pension they were fucking with. But it's ok, we are just Civil Servants who everyone hates anyway.

Not sure I follow this train of thought. The money was never there to "piss away" it was a commitment given to you by various governments over the years and for breaching that commitment you should be rightly very very angry (and I am on your "side" in this regard although I am principally opposed to final salary public sector pensions for PS workers who do a role that isn't "essential" to the running of the country) but to blame "every fucker" about "my pension" comes across as a bit of a "me me me" attitude and I am sure that is the last thing you would want to convey.

You're right, it was the last thing I would mean to convey. In fact, I'm probably the least 'me me me' person; my friends would vouch for that.

You haven't the faintest clue what you are on about Mackenzie.

No one pissed away you pension. A commitment was made when you signed your contract but it is now impossible to meet that commitment as people are living longer, you really must try and get your head around that. Your money was never there, sat in a pot and self sustaining. PS pensions never have been.

It's a bit like the problems in the private sector where there are problems with the pension pots also. All because WE ARE LIVING LONGER. It's such a simple concept that I am shocked you are struggling with it.

Well, the commitment was on both sides. I took a lower paid salary for my capabilities because there were certain understandings on both sides as to the extra benefits long term. Perhaps, now that they have reneged on that, they'd like to reimburse me for the misunderstanding of the last 31 years?!

I understand that people now live longer and that we have an bigger ageing population to support, hence my having no problem working an extra 7 years.

I also have no problem with the pay freeze imposed on us for several years. I understand the country was in a mess financially and was more than happy to do my bit.

What I do get pissed off with though ( and I acknowledge that anyone outside of the public sector will not have the same mindset) is that we are invariably the whipping boys when it comes to Governments. We are deemed to be an easy target and a vote winner because of the bile spouted by the media. We are almost a political plaything, yet we witness the sheer waste of millions and millions of pounds of taxpayers money on shit IT systems, stupid half baked processes and interference in the way we deliver our services.

And that, trust me, makes my blood boil.

Not to mention the fact that we spend tens of Billions on a war in Afghanistan Sharon. I would rather have people receive pensions and at inflation level pay rises than bounce missiles into fuicking caves every day in the name of "freedom".

With Afghan, at first I was like "yeah, we have to stop the Taliban doing this to the poor Afghanies". Now I am like "Fuck it, this was a people at peace for 70 years before the Russians and then us and the US arming the Taliban, let them self detemine if they wish and we can worry about out own fucking house".

Every time I see a photo of a dead soldier in the papers, and read his 'story', I want to cry. The loss of such young men and women, in such a 'war' is a crime and is one of the main reasons I hate Blair.

In fact, my whole belief in any Government is pretty much shattered these days.

And if they want the money for something they will find it. After all, cuts can always be made on the front line with inadequate equipment etc if necessary :-(
