Apprentice Union?

Not to mention the fact that we spend tens of Billions on a war in Afghanistan Sharon. I would rather have people receive pensions and at inflation level pay rises than bounce missiles into fuicking caves every day in the name of "freedom".

Well I suppose it had to happen eventually - a post from SWP's Back that I agree with 100%!

Seriously though, that was not intended as a snide comment. I fully accept that people on this board have different political views to mine. I'm genuinely pleased that political debate is alive and well on Bluemoon.

I am an active and proud trade unionist and I make absolutely no apology for that. I equally understand that some fellow Blues have different experiences that give them a different view.

I've been as guilty as others in resorting to childish insults on occasion. I'm going to try to avoid that next time and hope others join me.

Love & Peace fellow Blues.

I think a forum such as this leads most posters into backing theirselves into a corner when it comes to political stuff.
It almost becomes a subconscious thing in a way.

Truth is, most of us (whatever our political 'leaning') have a lot of common ground in the everyday stuff that really matters.

Can we please get back on topic at the back!
Should the lad start a union? Discuss:

Not start one and if there is no union at his work then there is no point in joining one.

He needs to get some legal advice because the company look to be abusing the apprenticeship scheme.

There is also a sting in the tail of this story. Whatever happens he will not have a future at this place, it is clear that they are not interested in training him and only using him as cheap labour.

He will lose this job, either at the end of the 12 months or as soon as he gets advice.

Bezz, If you are reading this then you need to accept that.

Good luck mate.

second that.

Remember that you will get enough money to survive with your family when you do get laid off. Also, knowing you need to move on will help you do so in a more positive frame of mind and help you find the next and better job.

Good luck.
