He said that his accountant and lawyer friends would go bananas if one of the Rag players kicked the ball out for a throw-in, regardless of being two or three goals to the good. Wondered then what the point of going was, but we know why a substantial number of fans go to Stretford.
But times are tense. There is an expectation, quite rightly, that we are going to improve on the results v teams from last season and the season before. But you have to remember that it is a game of footy, and I have said this before a game involves ten thousand variables of which, I would say, you have control of about 4. Look at the pillock Crappenburg sending off Bellers when he got fouled. That turns a game and you end up struggling for a draw against a team you should beat comfortably.
